anybody have any experience with them?

I'm thinking of taking one or 2 until my new little nursling is big enough for me to leave her with a sitter for classes and I'd love some input.

I've taken some, and it worked out quite nicely.

I'm getting about half of my Associate's degree (nursing) through internet courses. So far it's working out well and I'm enjoying it. It's very convenient and I won't have to take any classes on campus until my 3-year-old starts kindy.

Just bear in mind that it takes MUCH self-discipline!

I took a television course once. I don't have what it takes. I got a B in the class, but I didn't learn a darn thing.

Quiverful,
That is one thing I am concerned about. I don't have much self discipline. LOL

I am taking my oreintation class online. Its only 1 credit so I didn't think it'd be that hard but I'm a little confused b/c the teacher hasn't posted any assignments yet....

If you don't have a lot of self-discipline, then they are not for you. I am taking three classes online right now and they are a LOT of work. They are not easier or anything like that, so don't believe anyone who says they are.

They allow for flexibility in my schedule which is why I am taking them.

I will second the "not easier". In fact, sometimes I think it's harder because I can't raise my hand and ask for clarification.

I also have to really really stick to my routine or I get so behind I can't catch up without several nights of no sleep.

I'm taking one right now. So long as it's an easy one, that you don't think you'll require alot of physical interaction with the teacher, they are nice. You can work at your own schedule which is the nicest thing ever sometimes.
I've taken one in the past, with the easier courses that I have to take. Right now I"m taking IFSM 201, which is a joke because I work on computers and on networks for a living. So it's a very easy class.
