I haven't written one in over a decade.
Is there a good book or site to help?

:lol
When I get back from the bus stop I will post some links for you!
APA and MLA are two types of format to use for research papers. Have you decided what you want to write about yet or are you just starting now? Has your teacher given you any guidelines?
We have been given topics to choose from. It is a psych class, and it is a research paper, but not in the traditional sense. We have to do the 'research' ourself. Not a very technical paper more observational.

MLA format (http://owl.english.purdue.edu/handouts/research/r_mla.html)
APA format (http://owl.english.purdue.edu/handouts/research/r_apa.html)
These two links might be helpful. But, I just realize that I think you are Canadian. Mabye someone can say if it's the same for Canada? :lol I'm not much help, huh?

I prefer MLA myself. LOL If you are really nervous you could look at basic style guide too.
My Psych class is making us use APA, though it is tough for me since I am so used to MLA.
