G doesn't really poop at night, but I still like to change him right before we lay down, once in the middle of the night, and then first-thing in the morning. Of course, he is up several times at night to nurse; it isn't like I am waking him up for a diaper change. I can't remember when I stopped changing my daughter's night-time pee diapers. When did you/ do you?
I’m a diaper changing freak but not to the point of waking DD. She started sleeping through really early so that’s when I stopped. On the odd night she wakes, I change the diaper but she is a really good sleeper so sometimes she goes 10-12 hours. So far I haven’t had a hint of diaper rash so I’m not stressing about it too much.
What HAS been worrying me is that I just switched to cloth and I only have one overnight system that I like so far. I’m petrified that she’s going to wake one night before the new diapers arrive and I’ll have to improvise in the dark. :lol

Evan wakes up just enough to nurse, so I don't change him in the middle of the night unless he is squirmy and seems to mind the wet diaper. We've been doing this for about a month, maybe 2...he's 4 months now. So, he goes about 10 hours in one (disposable) diaper, no leaks, no rash. It is VERY big in the morning, though, as you can imagine. :lol

I never did night time changes unless it was necessary. (i.e., she seemed uncomfy, poopy or really wet)

Simon wakes up ONLY to have his diaper changed. :lol He hates a wet nappy! It's really the only thing that gets him upset. ;) I change him and usually he drifts off after an ounce or two of formula. Some nights he doesn't wake up at all. Thanks to those diaper doubler things:)

I meant to add, get some of the doublers if you're concerned.

My first son I changed his nappie all the frigging time :lmao I never even allowed it to get to damp :lol boy has that change after having 3 more little ones :lol
For instance I just now fed babe and he will sleep now til around 5 or so(hope so) I will change him again then, and again around 4 hours after that when he awake for another feed unless he is soaked or got poopy done.
So that works out to every feed :dunno

I stopped changing them between 2 and 3 months. He used to hate being wet, but now if he is sleeping or sleepy in the middle of the night all he wants to do is eat--if I change him, he screams. It wakes him all the way up and he gets angry!

Hmmm, I was wondering about this. DH and I have a system, he gets up when the baby wakes up and changes him, then I get up and feed him. But I was wondering if we needed to change him so much, but then I would be the only one getting up and that might make me bitter. :evile

The past few nights ds has been waking at 2ish and 4:30ish and I have only changed him the second time. Of course if I smell poop then I'll change him whenever.
The other night I got dh to change him and was propping my pillows to feed ds and I felt something wet. Dh wasn't quick enough and ds peed. Got all wet and we had to change his clothes so he was awake for a loooong time.
I hope he will sleep longer soon so we won't have the diaper changes going on.

PAP we did that system with my daughter for the first several weeks. :) I guess we stopped that system when she stopped pooping at every feed. :lol
I change poops at night but not pee.
I guess the poop stopped all together at about 3 months with ds #1. Now with ds #1 I was using cloth at night so I changed the pees too. At around 3 months we started using fuzzi bunz www.fuzzibunz.com. They keep the baby from feeling wet.
I am going to be lazy this time and use diaposables at night until he quits pooping at night.

I stopped changing her wet diapers at night when I figured out that she sleeps longer if I don't completely wake her (which happens when I change her diaper) and just nurse her. I change her before putting her down at night at around 9-10pm and when she wakes up at 5:30-6:00am. (She gets up to nurse at least once during that time.) I used to try to go back to sleep after that morning nursing, but she likes to poop right afterwards, and if I don't have her in a fresh diaper when she poops it goes EVERYWHERE!
