Old Navy sells the socks with the rubber words on the bottem. They work excellent and at 1.75 (in MD at least) that is a steal compared to other store prices. I just wanted to let everyone know, especially if they have mostly hard wood floor or tile.
Any one else have a walker yet? DD seems to be the oldest by far, everyone’s babies are right out of the oven literally. :love. She is 10 months old, I guess I will graduating soon. :(

i used to love the old style old navy socks. they held up very well and stayed on. the new style are caca, imo. too thin and the elastic blows out.

I love those socks, I never tried the old ones so the new ones seem fine to me, but I do agree about the elastic. I'm actually going to get some more today, even though he's no where close to walking, thanks for the FYI.
I love Old Navy socks but I got some at the outlet that suck. They were really rough cotton with barely any elastic so they were harder to get on and didn’t stay up as well as the regular ones. I think I saved $1 on a three pack so it certainly wasn’t worth it. :frown

As soon as we get settled, I'm off to buy some. I'm sorry to here the quality has gone down, but I need something. Little S is doing a fair amount of assisted walking and we have all wood floors.
For anyone else in the same boat, we also plan to do a custom carpet for the baby's room and the main living room. We know a carpet guy who says he can do a custom carpet, braid the edges and uses a carpet pad that doesn't slip (wohoo!). We are going to have a lot of falls we he tries walking and I want a softer landing in the beginning if possible.

We are moving the middle of next month to a place with wood floors so I guess I'll have to get Eddie some of those type sox soon. He's not anywhere close to walking yet but I'll need to get some anyway.
I heard a good tip on making your own no slip sox -- I haven't done it yet, but I plan to.
Basically, you can use the puff-paint for fabric & paint on the bottoms of regular sox - the puff paint is inexpensive & you could make it a fun art project if you have an older child, too.
I just bought the paint & I'm going to try it this week.

LMAO, I do that too!! It works great. And even if baby is not walking yet, they still fall when they are pulling up and cruisin around the furniture.
