I have had some ok luck using mapquest, but at least on giving directions to my house for people, it turns them left where they should turn right, and puts people on the other end of town.

I have had good luck with Mapquest myself, and I love how I can download it to my PDA as well.

I usually use Yahoo maps. I never find what I need with mapquest.

Mapquest is good sometimes and then another time it's horrible. I try to not use them if I don't have to.
I like mapblast.com better.

Mapquest always sends me the wrong way. Just like you said. If it say turn left it is really right.

Mapquest has my house on the wrong block. Their directions have also led me toward streets that don't exist.
I learned the hard way with mapquest. I ended up out in the middle of nowhere with no cell phone and no idea where I was.
I use yahoo maps as well.

The last time I used mapquest, my friend and I ended up in a scary ass section of South Philly. Never again.... :lol

I tried getting directions to Disney's Animal Kingdom and Mapquest sent me about 30 min out of my way, to someone's house. I've also had the wrong left/right turn issues. I now use Yahoo maps.

I like Mapquest. Once when dh and I were going to a funeral service, he printed Yahoo and I printed Mapquest. His directions had us getting of an exit in the middle of a nasty area of the Bronx, several exits before where we had to go. Good thing I had the mapquest directions.

Perhaps Mapquest and Yahoo work better in some areas than in others.

DH is a bit anal, so he used to print out double directions to places. We found Rand McNally (they have a site) always got us there faster and more easily than Mapquest.

Mapquest left off an entire highway when I was traveling across the state. I was a little pissed.

mapquest has worked ok for getting me someplace, but their time is waaay off. It says it should take me 50+ min to get to work and at worst it takes me 25-30.

if you need directions often, you should go buy Microsoft's streets and tips. We use it all the time and have never had a bad address..
I agree, Mapquest can be really off sometimes.

Rand McNally sucks ass. Their directions have been wrong everytime we have used them. Mapquest is usually ok but does have some flaws. I'm with the anal dh and I always print at least two sets of directions from two seperate sources. That way, I'm almost sure to be totally covered.
