So do you love or hate Disney? Do you allow your children to watch the videos? Have you or will you ever go to the park?

I don't have a problem morally with Disney, but most of the newer movies and cartoons get on my nerves. The Pixar ones are pretty cute, but I'd rather watch Barney than "Mulan" or some of that crap. We'll see how it goes with DD, she's not really old enough yet to care, so I get to pick what she watches.
I'd definitely take her to the park at least once, when she's old enough to really enjoy it. I went when I was about 12 and had a blast. But by then it'll probably require selling an organ on the black market to afford entry!:lol

Been to the park (ds was 2) and would go again when he is older.
Dislike the channel.
Like the movies but rarely watch them. DS is now into reading rainbow videos.

i am dying to take him to disney world.
He likes all "kid" movies, so we watch disney movies..he loves the original classics like 101 dalmations, peter pan, the fox and the hound ,etc.
I have no beef with disney.

Guess I'll answer my own question. I love disney to a point, hate the marketing but love the products for the most part. We just took ds 2 & 4 and they LOVED it. Oldest even got to be in the parade! Oldest loves the classic movies but younger one not really interested yet. I have no problem with them really either.

I don't have a problem with Disney. I have been to the park several times. We don't normally watch the Disney channel at home though. My kids like PBS Kids, and Nick jr better.

I do have issues with Disney (stemming from having a minor in Women's Studies :lol ) but dd is just starting to like the movies. We do want to go to Disneyworld sometime. I don't buy any clothes with Disney characters on them - I don't buy anything with liscensed characters, usually - because I don't want to overdo it.

Since we live in Orlando, I have a feeling Disney will be a part of our lives forever. I grew up going to the park at least twice a year and I love the food and wine festival at Epcot every year.
As far as the kids, I wanted to wait until Ds (4yo) actually knew what it was and asked to go. His first time was to Animal Kingdom with Grandma and Grandpa and then to Magic Kingdom with me and Dh.
Dd will be at least 3 before we take her along. I want her to really understand whats going on, and to hopefully be old enough to look forward to it.
And I like most of the movies. I didn't really like the lion king.
Aladdin is my favorite animated movie, though.

I took my oldest dd when I was pregnant w/ ds and she hated it. I think she was 5 at the time, and complained for two hours straight that she wanted to go back to the hotel and swim! We're in Orlando and she wants to swim of all things..we have a pool at home!!
We ended up going back that night for the parade and that was really fun to watch. Plus it wasn't so hot.

Ambivalent toward Disnet (prefer the classic disney to todays marketing machine).
No problem to let son play with or watch disneyana.
Plan to take him in the next year or so.

My older daughter (she is 3) loves Disney movies but my younger daughter (she is 1) could care less.
We haven't been to Disney World yet. Was planning on going when my girls are 5 and 3.

Kids only watch Disney channel, not Nick, sometimes PBS.
They love the movies.
And as far as the park goes. We just got back from a week at Disneyland. My 4 year old has been 5 times. That park is his favorite topic on converstaion!
We will be getting annual passes! We just love the place!

I love Disneyworld! I'd love to live in Orlando.
My oldest (13) has been there three or four times. My two youngest have been once. They all love it.
We watch the Disney movies, and sometimes the Disney channel. Only for The Wigglest and Out of the Box, though.
I have no problem with Disney.

We love the Disney Channel. My dd's fave show as of now is "House of Mouse." They love Snow White and Sleeping Beauty and all the older movies as well as the Pixar shows. We will definitely be taking them to Disneyland when they are old enough to enjoy it. We were in LA recently and went to Downtown Disney and told them it was Disneyland. They are happy with that for now!

what is the house of mouse I see that listed in the tv guide but have no idea what it is?
I do have a beef with some of the Disney movies, and especially the cartoon network (not disney, I know, but I had to throw that in. :lol)
DD watches The Little Mermaid 1 & 2 and Bambi. Otherwise a little PBS when the tube is on.
