My daughter's latest obsession has been plaing with styrofoam. I thought I had it all cleaned up in her room, but she found some Monday night apparently. We were in the midst of our bed-time routine, and I had to pee so I told her I was going potty and I'd be right back.
I went back in her room, and she jumped in her bed and got a very guilty look on her face. She said "Mommy, look" and pointed at her nose. She also had a two tiny pieces of styrofoam in her hand.
I asked her if she put a piece up her nose and she said yes. Much hilarity ensued in my trying to use the evile blue nose sucker to get said piece of styrofoam out of her nose. No luck, though. So I figured she just said she did it and there wasn't really anything up there.
No problems yesterday, no extra mucus or anything.
This morning, she's got green boogers in one nostril. I cleaned them out, something she hates, and she let out one big sneeze and sure enough, out came a little white snot-covered piece of styrofoam, thank d.oG.
Moral of the story: I must believe my child when she tells me she put something up her nose!
