My daughter's latest obsession has been plaing with styrofoam. I thought I had it all cleaned up in her room, but she found some Monday night apparently. We were in the midst of our bed-time routine, and I had to pee so I told her I was going potty and I'd be right back.

I went back in her room, and she jumped in her bed and got a very guilty look on her face. She said "Mommy, look" and pointed at her nose. She also had a two tiny pieces of styrofoam in her hand.

I asked her if she put a piece up her nose and she said yes. Much hilarity ensued in my trying to use the evile blue nose sucker to get said piece of styrofoam out of her nose. No luck, though. So I figured she just said she did it and there wasn't really anything up there.

No problems yesterday, no extra mucus or anything.

This morning, she's got green boogers in one nostril. I cleaned them out, something she hates, and she let out one big sneeze and sure enough, out came a little white snot-covered piece of styrofoam, thank d.oG.

Moral of the story: I must believe my child when she tells me she put something up her nose!

Yep sounds about what DD does, "mommy nose". Crayons this time but thank doG that she hasn't gotten any stuck up there yet! And what is it with styrofoam? I swear it's like gold to her!

My son used to love to shove pieces of paper up his nose, so I feel your pain. :lol

here's a little trick if she knows how to blow her nose. I'd have my ds tell me which nostril he shoved the paper up. I'd hold the other nostril shut, and then have him blow as hard as he could. The paper would come shooting out. Only works if they know how to blow, though.

It's only me

Oh My!! We had foster kids when I was growing up,. And we watched a 4 year old for a couple weeks while her mom had surgery. My mom noticed she had really bad bad breath, Took her to our Ped,a nd sure enough, he sucked a pea that was rotting out of her nose. SICK!!! Glad yours came out on it's own. :flower

My eldest shoved some peas up her nose once.
DH and I managed to get one out - we thought "Yay - got it!" Double checked, and found another up there...out of reach. So off to the local A&E clinic to get it removed. :|
