DS who turned 2 in March has this and really loves it. He plays with it at least once every day.

PROS: It has a good selection of books/cartridges. When he's not actively pressing the pages, it plays a melody that he also enjoys. It has a nice volume adjuster, an off button, and a padded bottom perfect for little laps. The pages of hte booklets are pretty sturdy.

CONS: The cartridges come out WAY too easy. He bumps them out of place on accident all the time. They are also not spit-proof (although I can't really fault them for that, DS is a chewer.)

All in all, it was a good investment. Plus the cartridges/books make a great gift.

ugggh, sorry but I couldn't disagree with you more! We got one for christmas, dd will be 2 in June. She gets frustrated and bored with this toy quickly. The stuff is hard to press down. you have to basically "boot" each page individually so after i do this, all she wants to do is press that button. The on/off is way too tempting to press by baby too. I think this was a collosal waste of money. i like reading to my daughter and having her interact with what I read to her.
