I was just looking at the thread in the frugal flea and considering the trutle sandbox. Then I saw this one

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?cat=14521&dept=4171&product_id=2069537&path=0%3A4171%3A14521%3A86644

on clearance for 40 at Wally World.

Does anyone have it. Is it a good product? I wonder about the water right there and the sand getting wet. Should I just stick with the turtle box?

We don't have a big sandbox yet, last year DS had a rubbermaid container with some sand in it for "digging". We will probably stick with the more traditional sandboxes, as that water table always looked super messy. It's one thing to clean up sand... but wet sand.. uck!

Hubby requires any sand device we have to be covered to avoid it being utilized as a local litter box for cats.

I've had my eye on that for Tyler. I want it.

I have a friend who has this, but it's an older version and she calls it a sensory table. It's great for water, I think, but I'm not so impressed with the sand portion. YOu can't sit in it or drive big vehicles in it.

we made our own using a black weed control sheet underneath, 4 2X4 boards, 6 and 8 feet long, and a triangular board nailed at the corners. You can cover it with a tarp or make it smaller and lay a piece of plywood overtop.

We have one that dh made with pvc pipe and rubbermaid containers. I think I will have him build a big one when we move next time. If we ever move :lol

We have an old turtle that our neighbors gave us. Even that seems small when DS has a friend over to play with it.

Also, DS loves to drag the sand AWAY from the box and dump it on our grass, so be careful where you place yours!!! It's pretty hard to contain.

Wet sand is the best kind to build with! Haven't you people ever been to the beach?? :lol

Kids like to sit in sandboxes, I'd go with the traditional.

We bought the plastic one in the shape of a crab and Tyler loves it.
