My boobs get SO engorged at night. :twitch Now, he's done well taking on those rock hard puppies and sucking them flat, but it is painful for me and I find myself waking up, PRAYING he wakes up soon to drain my poor boobs. :twitch

Ow. What can I do? Anything??? I had to pump the other night 'cause I was soooooo full on one side (he only nurses on one side). I pumped off 6.5 oz. in 5 minutes. :faint Ow.

:faint Damn! I never pumped that much from one boob ever, and I was almost exclusivly pumping. No advice, though. Just amazement. :lol

It will pass. I had the same problem when Axel suddenly started sleeping through the night.

Try limiting your fluids a little before bed. Sleep on a towel.
I normally sleep on my side, and found it helped to wedge a pillow under my ribs so there wasn't as much pressure on my boob. If it was really bad, I slept (fitfully) on my back.

Pumping is not so bad, as it will help build your stash. If things keep up like this, slowly decrease your pumping time at night so that your boobs get the message that demand is dropping and that they don't need to make so much.

I feel your pain. Aiden almost ALWAYS nurses thought the night....I mean attached to my boob from the time he goes down to the time he wakes in the morning.
If he sleeps through the night I am one hurting unit. :lol

I remember those days. Being torn between waking the baby to nurse or lying there in serious pain until he wakes. No advice. Just wanted to tell you it will pass before you know it. Engorgement sucks (or doesn't...or whatever).
