...I thought I'd post in here and see if anyone would read this. I have an 8 month old daughter and lately she is just NOT wanting to sleep for more than 45-60 minutes at night! She isn't wanting to nap during the day much, either. She used to sleep really well, but for the last 2-3 weeks... nothing! I'm going crazy. I don't have a partner that I can say "Hey, look, I have GOT to get some real sleep, can you watch her for a bit?" Have any of you ever been through this? If so, how did you get through it? I have no family nearby, either. :(

That happened with the boys at around that age. I started co-sleeping with them again which we had phased out at around 6 months. But I was nursing so it might be a different situation, I don't know if you are or not.

Do you have a sling or a baby carrier like a Bjorn? I would go for walks with them and that would usually put them to sleep.

I have a four year old who never wants to sleep period. He hasn't napped since he turned 2 and every night is a battle at bed time. I go crazy as I only get to homework once he goes to bed!! Everytime I see images of people gazing at their beautiful sleeping children I want to vomit out of sheer jealousy. Especially those friends of mine who have kids who immediately pass out when the clock strikes 8:00.

Could she be going through a growth spurt? Maybe she is still hungry.
Have you tried the lavender baby bath before bedtime, or maybe starting her bedtime a little later?
