I wanted to post this here because I know that BF babies sleep differently.
How old are your babies?
Do your babies sleep through the night? If so when did they start. and from when to when?
Do they sleep alone?
Do they fall asleep by themselves? If so when did they start?
I'll go first. (I'm looking for advice here)
DS is 11months old.
Does not sleep through the night but does not nurse past 11pm and sleep from 11-7 respectively (see next answer)
Sleeps with DH who may have to walk him back to sleep for a few minutes 2 times a night.
Does not fall asleep by himself. He nurses to sleep while we watch TV and hangs there for an hour or so and then DH takes him to bed with him.
I get great sleep, thanks to DH, but it's been 6 months since we slept together and I REALLY miss him :crybaby

How old are your babies? 13 months
Do your babies sleep through the night? If so when did they start. and from when to when? No.
Do they sleep alone? No.
Do they fall asleep by themselves? If so when did they start? Not usually. If I'm around wants to be nursed to sleep. Otherwise, wants to be rocked to sleep. Just recently has started occassionally falling back asleep by himself at night.

How old are your babies?
ds is 8 months old
Do your babies sleep through the night? If so when did they start. and from when to when?
He slept though the night 10 hours at a time from 5 weeks to 3 months. When he started teething, the good life ended. :lol Now he's up nursing every 2-3 hours or so.
Do they sleep alone?
We co-squish since he stopped sleeping though.
Do they fall asleep by themselves? If so when did they start?
He can fall asleep on his own, but usually he does fall asleep nursing.

How old are your babies? Almost 8 months
Do your babies sleep through the night? If so when did they start. and from when to when?He usually sleeps through the night but for the past few weeks he's been waking to nurse because of teething. He didn't start sleeping through the night until he was 6 mos I think.
Do they sleep alone? No, he has to sleep touching both DH and I.
Do they fall asleep by themselves? If so when did they start? He has never fallen asleep by himself unless he was in the car. He nurses to sleep still.

How old are your babies? 17 months
Do your babies sleep through the night? If so when did they start. and from when to when? 15 months when we nightweaned him, though we still have a night or two a week when he wakes at night.
Do they sleep alone? Nope. We sleep in one big love sammich.
Do they fall asleep by themselves? If so when did they start? If falling asleep by yourself means all alone, no help at all, nope, never. He can fall asleep 'by himself' in the car, but I'm not sure if that counts since it's the motion and sound that does it. After he falls asleep initially at night he can go back to sleep without nursing, but it takes some patting on the back and snuggling and 'shhhh shhhh'ing. Mostly, it takes the boob to get him to sleep.

How old are your babies? He is 7 1/2 mos.
Do your babies sleep through the night? No. If so when did they start. and from when to when? He has slept through twice for dh, and was starting to sleep or longer stretches. He is teething horribly right now though, so we've been up most of the last three nights.
Do they sleep alone? No, we co-sleep. He does take naps by himself.
Do they fall asleep by themselves? If so when did they start? He does fall asleep by himself, but likes to nurse to sleep.

How old are your babies? 16 months :stretch
Do your babies sleep through the night? If so when did they start. and from when to when? No, he still wakes up once or twice a night to latch on. ;)
Do they sleep alone? Family bed. :hello
Do they fall asleep by themselves? If so when did they start? Yes, he usually falls asleep on his own at the beginning of the night. He just started this about 2 months ago give or take.
DS would probably sleep through the night if I would refuse boob and just pat his back, but since i'm right there it has just been easier to nurse when he wakes up.

How old are your babies? will be 1 yr. on Weds.
Do your babies sleep through the night? nopeIf so when did they start. and from when to when?
Do they sleep alone?I nurse DS to sleep in our bed and then transfer him to his crib mattress on the floor next to my bed. His crib used to be a sidecar on the side of my bed, but when we moved it wouldn't fit. His mattress fits perfectly.
Do they fall asleep by themselves? If so when did they start?
no, ds will only fall asleep "on his own" in the car. Otherwise he has to be nursed to sleep. I usually end up on the floor by the middle of the night. It's easier for me to go down there and nurse him back down then to bring him back up into bed with us and I usually end up just falling back asleep down there.
How old are your babies? she's 11 months
Do your babies sleep through the night? yes If so when did they start. and from when to when? she slept through from 3 months to 5 months, and then not again unless she was very very sick, until she was 10 months old and we did CIO and moved her to her crib. :(
Do they sleep alone? yes, now she does. until she was about 7-8 months old she slept alone and would wake up and cry if she was in bed or in the room with us. then she started only sleeping if she was nursing, and continued very fussy sleep punctuated with periods of screaming every 45 minutes until we put her in her own bed and did the CIO thing. from the first night we did that she has slept through the night.
Do they fall asleep by themselves? If so when did they start? it depends. most nights we go to pick up her dad from work and she falls asleep in the car and just rolls over and sleeps when we put her in bed. other nights we'll nurse or rock her to sleep, and she'll just roll over once she's in bed. then there are the bad nights, when she sits up and cries once she's in bed and it takes anywhere from 2-30 minutes for her to lay down and go to sleep.
this has only been in the last month that she could sleep without being nursed all night. i dislike CIO, but the quality of all three of our lives has improved so dramatically since we got her in her own bed. she and i are both light sleepers, and i guess dh and i kept waking her when she was in our bed. i don't know.
normally she sleeps 9-6 in her bed. once in a while now she'll wake around midnight and i'll feed her and lay her back down in bed and she goes right back to sleep. sometimes she'll wake up sometime after 3 but before 6, and i bring her to bed with us and nurse her for the rest of the night.

If it makes you feel better, my son will only use a pacifier as a teether, he will not use it to satisfy his sucking need at night. And he only recently started sleeping for stretches, before I was up right along with you. :lol
How old are your babies? 15mos
Do your babies sleep through the night? If so when did they start. and from when to when? no
Do they sleep alone? no. I sleep with our 15 month old, dh lays down with our 4.5yo until she falls asleep and then joins us.
Do they fall asleep by themselves? If so when did they start? baby nurses to sleep with me. DD#1 was falling asleep without nursing at about 18mos and then would go to bed alone at 3 years, but regressed somewhat in her bedtime routine when baby came.

How old are your babies?
My dd is almost 9 mos old
Do your babies sleep through the night? If so when did they start. and from when to when?
She usually sleeps through the night, she goes to sleep at about 7 pm. I wake her up to nurse her before I go to bed at about 10ish. Then she sleeps until 5-6 am. She slept through pretty early maybe 4 mos old or so. She went through a phase at about 6 mos where she was getting up 5-6 times a night because she wanted her binky. I ended up taking the binky away....mean mommy. She then decided a cloth burpy diaper was just as good, so she sleeps with that now.
Do they sleep alone?
Yes she sleeps in her own room. We moved her into it when she was 6 mos old.
Do they fall asleep by themselves? If so when did they start?
Yes she does fall asleep by herself. I would always lay her down sleepy but not asleep, and she has always been able to put herself to sleep. Sometimes she will wake up in the middle of the night talking and singing to herself, she will play for awhile and then fall back to sleep. Of course I hear her and can't fall back to sleep until she does....

The size of the bed wouldn't matter. He would wake up every 45 minutes with me, err... my boobs laying right next to him.
We are going to try this next week:
Mattress on the floor in his baby proof room, with the bed rail. Daddy will make the middle of the night runs to him and try to teach him to fall back to sleep on his own.
I'll keep you all informed.
