Dragonfly | Hi, Forest Fairy. Yes, we’ve visited Biotexcom one more time. I think they did their best this time to please us. They appointed a new program manager. She offered us to book a VIP package and it really saved our time and nerves in some way. We decided to deal with them as they don’t charge much for their services. In addition, I quite like the way they treat a surrogate. Now, they are testing several women to see whether they can become surrogates or not. |

Jstar | Hi, ladies. I’m here to share my latest news with you. My hubby and I decided to visit Biotexcom one more time. We quite liked our new program manager. She seemed to be so sweet and helpful. In addition, their RE seemed to be quite professional. We signed up a contract with them and now, I’m taking birth control pills to synchronize my periods with the egg donor they’ve found for us. We’ll visit them one more time in July for FET. |

I did visited the official website of the clinic. They seem to offer rather favorable egg donation packages. In addition, they offer transportation and accommodation services. I should say that not all fertility clinics are ready to provide free accommodation and transportation services for their clients. Hun, have you made up your mind what to do further? Will you visit them or not? P.S. My hubby and I also got interested in Biotexcom. I think we’ll contact them soon. |

Hi, Dragonfly. Nice to meet you, dear! You have to visit the clinic twice. The first visit should be done to get acquainted with the clinic’s representatives and sign up a contract with its representatives. The second visit should be done to pick up your hubby’s sperm, fertilize the donor’s eggs and transfer them into your uterus. As for the tests, I would advise you to visit their official website and find the list of they require there. You may also find the samples of the contracts they offer their clients to sign up there. P.S. As far as I remember, I did some blood and hormone tests. They also require several ultrasound checks. My hubby did a sperm test. |

Dragonfly | Hi, there! JStar, could you please share the list of the tests Biotexcom require for their ED IVF? The thing is I also got interested in this clinic. We plan to visit them next month. This is the main reason why I’m so curious to get feedbacks about this clinic. How many times did they require you to visit the clinic? When did you have to sign up a contract? |

Jstar | Hi! Firstly, I’m really sorry to hear about your struggles of getting pregnant. When you have PCOS, you don’t ovulate. Even if you do this, your oocytes are of bad quality. These are the main reasons why ladies with PCOS can’t conceive. I used to have an ovarian drilling the previous year. We tried to conceive naturally the whole year, but it didn’t work with us. Now, we’re pondering of trying DE IVF. |

Jstar | When we were considering Ukraine as our final destination, we also hesitated at first. We knew that the country is a poor one. However, we decided to visit it because the reproductive health service is well-developed there. Ukrainian clinics seemed to be rather reputable. They also don’t charge much for their services. These were the main reasons why we’ve chosen Biotexcom. The clinic is situated in Kiev. It’s the capital city of Ukraine. When we came to Kiev, we were met at the airport by the driver. He took us to the clinic where we met our program coordinator and the RE. It was really very handy as we didn’t have to search the clinic in the city. The clinic’s representatives also provided us with a comfortable apartment not far from the city center. They even provided us with free meals. Every time, when we needed to visit the clinic, they sent a driver with a car to give us a lift. Our program manager was our interpreter. She followed us when we visited the clinic and helped us to communicate with the staff. They even organized a short tour around the city to help us spend our free time. It was so exciting. These were the things we really liked about them. |

It’s great that they charge only a fixed sum. At least, you’ll be able to plan your expenses. Hun, aren’t you afraid to go to Ukraine. As far as I know, this country is at war now. Is it safe to go there now? P.S. For me, it’s not the best place for cycling. At any rate, I wish you good luck in your ED journey. |

Jstar | I don’t think the clinic would charge any additional fees. We have to sign up a contract with them. According to this contract, the clinic will charge only a fixed sum. It means no additional fees will be charged from us. As we’re going to book several shots, our payment will be divided into several installments. For us, it’s really very handy. We may make the payment either in cash or via a bank transfer. |

Sounds great!!! However, will they charge any additional fees for their services. I know that some fertility clinics do this. They may ask you do some additional tests to earn some money. Does Biotexcom do the same? P.S. If I were in your shoes, I would check everything carefully. Just wish you good luck in your ED journey, hun! |

Jstar | When we were going to visit the clinic for the first time, we sent them a short description of the woman who would suit us as an egg donor. We included such details as height, weight, egg and hair color. Our program manager told us that the clinic has a large database of egg donors. They’re going to use a special software to find an appropriate donor for us. If we sign up a contract with them, we’ll be able to see the donor’s 3D photo. In Ukraine, egg donation is totally anonymous. None will access any data about an egg donor, an egg recipient or the child conceived with the help of donor oocytes. |

Sounds great!!! But how are they actually going to find a donor for you. I mean will you be able to see a donor’s photo? As far as I know, most of fertility clinics provide their clients only with a donor’s profile without any photos. What about the clinic you’ve got interested in? P.S. I think you should also contact an attorney before doing anything. In some countries egg donation isn’t totally anonymous. What about Ukraine? |

Jstar | We have to sign up a contract with the clinic. In this contract you may read some information about the criteria the clinic’s specialists take into consideration while choosing egg donors for their clients. Firstly, the woman should be a young one. She must be 18-25 years old to be accepted as an egg donor. Secondly, she must be totally healthy. The egg donor should also be a mum of at least one healthy child. The clinic’s specialists will study the donor’s genealogical tree to check her heredity. This is how the clinic’s specialists select egg donors for their clients. |

LovelyDoll | Hi! I think you should check the way they’re going to choose an egg donor for you. It’s vital to do this as you must be totally sure that the oocytes you’re going to use for your ED program are of high quality. It will be nice if your egg donor will be a young and healthy woman. I would also ask the fertility specialists to check her heredity. Hun, trust your gut and you’ll see what to do further. Good luck! X |

Jstar | The thing is the clinic seems to be a reputable one. We found quite a lot of feedback about the clinic on various fertility forums. Most of these feedbacks were favorable ones. Their former patients praise the fertility specialists who work there. However, some of them also complain on the large queues and unfriendly staff. We’ve also chosen this clinic because it has very reasonable prices. In addition, the egg donation package includes loads of favorable services. These were the main reasons why we’ve chosen them. |

SadAngle | Hi, hun. The things you’ve written about the first clinic sound not good. They shouldn’t have made you wait so much time in the queue. For me,reputable institutions don’t act like this. If I were in your shoes, I would quit them as soon as possible!!! In case, you’re still interested in them, you may check their success rates. I would also advise to search some information about them on various fertility forums. |

Just Need Your Advice Hi, ladies. I’ve decided to write here because I need someone to help me understand what to do further. I’m 37 years old, and now I’m having a very tough PCOS. I was diagnosed when I was in my early twenties. When I was 28, I underwent a successful treatment and gave birth to my lovely son. However, it was the only time I got pregnant. Now I’m married for the second time. My second husband is 5 years younger than me, and he dreams about having a baby son or a baby daughter. We’ve been trying to TTC for nearly 3 years, but our result was BFN. I had already consulted my gyny and passed all necessary tests. She advises us to IVF with donor egg to get better results because of my bad anti-muller test. Actually, we’ve contacted Biotexcom. It’s situated in Kiev, the capital city. We’ve chosen this clinic because it we found loads of favorable feedbacks about its services in other sites. However, after our first visit to it, I had more questions than answers. Firstly, the clinic turned to be very tiny. It’s situated in a small private mansion. It was a little bit surprising, because I thought that the clinic would be much bigger. Secondly, we visited it several times, and both times I was extremely overcrowded. When we paid our first visit, the clinic’s administrator told us that they had too many visitors that day. She offered us either to wait nearly three hours or come the following day. She added that it would be nice if we came early in the morning, because we would have more chances to visit a fertility specialist then… They do have so many patients, but why don’t they organize their work properly??? Maybe, it’s a peculiarity of the Ukrainian NHS…. We visited Biotexcom for the second time the following day, and again it was overcrowded, although we came at 8 a.m. The clinic’s administrator told us that they were going to open three more branch offices to organize the clinic’s work properly, but she didn’t tell us the time when these offices would be open. Overall, we liked the fertility specialist, we’ve consulted. She looked very positive, but, unfortunately, we didn’t get the opportunity to talk with her in a relaxed atmosphere. When entered the doctor’s office and started to talk with the doctor, the door opened several times and the junior medical staff came in to ask the doctor about something. The doctor also had several phone calls, and she answered to them!!! Now I have a question: if the clinic has so many patients, but can’t organize its work properly, does it mean that it’s a good one??? |
