[QUOTE=LetThereBeLips;9770029]I need to be more resposible for making time for myself and not wait for him to offer the time to me if that makes sense.[QUOTE]

Not to generalize, but I find that men are much better at taking time for themselves. They can tune out the "to do" list and just sit on the couch watching tv, no matter what is going on around them. Like today was MLK day and I was off, most of the day I spent getting down the rest of the holiday decorations, making stuffed shells for the week and ferrying dd around to her classes. We women just don't seem to take the time we need for ourselves.

Good luck to you and hope you are able to work everything out. Click here to enlarge

Lips - I'm sorry to hear you have been having a rough go of it. Glad you are talking it through. 6 years in recovery seems to be a stretch to still use as a crutch/blame.

I just had palpitations reading this because I totally agree and I am working on trying to put myself first at least some of the time Click here to enlarge

My biggest fear is that there is no PMS and that this is my personality.

I'm done

Well, since this got bumped...update here please!

I am not one of those who believe - broadly speaking - that women are better than men. We have not wrecked railroads, nor corrupted legislatures, nor done many unholy things that men have done; but then we must remember that we have not had the chance.- Jane Addams
