1. Mom - Still hanging in there. I think she is coming up on the last of her chemo treatments so hopefully the tumor has continued to shrink and maybe they can surgically remove what is left if it is smaller.

She is ridiculously excited that my sister and family are coming up for thanksgiving and my brother is still here so we are all going to have a big family meal. Its the first time in probably 12 years that we will all be in one spot at the same time. I am super excited that I could rent a space to do it because the idea of having a total of 17 people in my house had me Click here to enlarge

2. Jobs - I put in my two weeks notice for job 2. I don't want it to turn into full time because I pretty much hate it, and it makes no financial sense to do it part time so I will accelerate school and keep working job 1 two days a week. I am actually really really looking forward to the days off because once my kid threw in her swim schedule I hit the wall of too much stuff. It was bad. Really bad. Luckily, dh is kicking some serious ass and bringing home commission checks that are 3 times what I make in a month anyway so as long as he keeps doing that, we won't miss my income.

3. Kids - Sigh. Teenagers. Lex turns 16 this month. I think we are going to pay for Drivers Ed because I kind of wouldn't mind being able to have her shuffle K around once in a while Click here to enlarge It will be her bday present. DH needs to get our Tahoe road worthy as his winter vehicle so that the girls can use the Nissan. Its weird to be planning this stuff.

How are you people doing this fall?

An amazing charity
Please remind your children what to do if their clothing catches fire. It could save their life.

I'm glad you quit the other job, it's just too much!

It's not a feeling, it's a knowing.

I'll buck the trend, I don't think her kids are all that in the cute department. not all kids are cute. they have other attributes that make up for that, but look at tweedle's aiden, that is a cute kid. and your kids mel, those are adorable kids. Her's are average. I wouldn't take a second look passing her on the street.
