Parenting during a pandemic - make money with this survey!

Hi everyone! If you are interested in a paid research opportunity, please read below:

Dear Participant:

You have been invited to participate in a research study (IRB-FY2020-4435) to learn more about the impact of COVID-19 pandemic to our life, work, and well-being. This study is conducted by Wen-Jui Han and Marya Gwadz, faculty members at the Silver School of Social Work, New York University.

If you agree to be in this study, you will be asked to complete questions about the following topics: impact of COVID-19 to your daily life, your work, the well-being of yours and your children, and demographic background (e.g., age, gender, education, etc.).

To participate, you must be at least 18 years of age or older, a parent of a child aged 17 or younger, and currently residing in the United States, and are not currently in treatment for depression. Participation in this study will take approximately 15-20 minutes. There are no known risks associated with your participation in this research beyond those of everyday life. Some of the questions, however, include sensitive content and may elicit discomfort. Please note that you may choose to decline to answer.

Participation in this study is voluntary. You may refuse to participate or withdraw at any time without penalty. For questionnaires or surveys, you have the right to skip or not answer any questions you prefer not to answer.

We are providing a $20 Amazon e-gift card as a token of appreciation for your time upon finishing the survey. This research may also help the investigator to understand the effects of COVID-19 pandemic on daily parental life, employment status, and well-being.

If there is anything about the study or your participation that is unclear or that you do not understand or if you have questions or wish to report a research-related problem, you may contact Wen-Jui Han at [email protected] and Marya Gwadz at [email protected].

For questions about your rights as a research participant, you may contact the University Committee on Activities Involving Human Subjects (UCAIHS), New York University, 665 Broadway, Suite 804, New York, New York, 10012, at [email protected] or (212) 998-4808. Please reference the study #IRB-FY2020-4435 when contacting the IRB (UCAIHS).

We thank you very much for sharing your time and experience to help us understand the magnitude of this pandemic shaping our daily life and well-being. We hope this research will contribute to our knowledge about COVID-19 impact on our daily life so that we can advocate for a strong and appropriate set of policies and services to protect and promote our well-being in both ordinary and trying times.

Sincerely,
