Do you clean on the weekends?

I don't. I figure, if dh gets the weekends off from work, I should, too. So laundry waits til monday, no toilets get cleaned and if vacuuming is a necessity, I make ds do it. Click here to enlarge

Well yes, but that's b/c that's when we clean. I really don't clean anything but bathrooms during the week and do laundry, I hate cleaning.

On Saturday morning we clean the whole house, clean out the fridge and stove, do all the floors, throw all the extra crap away, etc.

Yes. Usually we have company on the weekends so I have to run the vaccum at least. DH is a good egg and takes dd out every Sat. morning for their "special day." I use that time to get done what I can't seem to get done during the week.

I may not do much but I never skip out on laundry b/c I would never get caught up.

Not big cleaning. I do keep up with laundry and dishes but that's about it.

Yes. The weekends might be dh's off time from work but they're his work time with the kids. He keeps them occupied and I actually get time to really clean, not just pick up after the kids all day.

I definately try not to. I try to get everything done during the week since I sah, so that our weekends can be fun time, skiing, hiking, biking, camping, water parks, etc. I try and keep my work week the same as my husbands.

We don't really here, I may do laundry but that's about it. The weekends are for yard work.

mostly, yes.

I've devised a cleaning schedule that might work better than the current plan which has light cleaning on Saturday and the day off on Sunday. I clean everyday and I don't want to have to do it on the weekends as well.

whats your schedule? It might be something I can copy and make work for me Click here to enlarge It really depends on what we have going on during the weekends. This past weekend we did a lot of yardwork so I didn't do much in the house. If the house needs it, I'll clean but mostly no; because we run around doing errands and such and spending time with each other, the last thing I want to do is clean Click here to enlarge

Hhhmmm... looks like Diva and I are the only weekend slackers. Click here to enlarge
We usually have fun family time on the weekends, so there is really no time or motivation for cleaning. I do little stuff like put dishes in the dishwasher so the kitchen doesn't look nasty, but I don't consider that to be cleaning.
Of course, I hate to clean, so any excuse not to is alright by me. Click here to enlarge

And somebody please explain to me how skipping laundry on the weekends means you'd never catch up? I've heard people say this alot, but i don't understand how you could get THAT behind in just 2 days. How many people are you washing for? Do you have just a tiny apartment size washer/dryer?
I throw in at least 1 load per day- 2 on mondays and I rarely have alot of build up, and when i do, I just devote a day to laundry. :Click here to enlarge Is that odd?

justa, I wash for 6 people, one is special needs and incontinent occassionally, one is a teen with 3 jobs that require a uniform of which he was only given one for each job. I do 3-4 loads a day and if I get behind I would never catch up. It sucks but I prefer to not get behind b/c then I would spend an entire day of just doing laundry to catch up.

Yikes, inh3k! ok, you get a pass. Click here to enlarge That's a damn lot of laundry. I can see how it would be necessary to do multiple loads at day at your house. Click here to enlarge

I have one baby and one husband, but it seems like I have 6 babies and 3 husbands to pick up after and do laundry for. I do laundry through out the week (or it is unmanageable by the weekend) and a quick straightening up every evening while dh is on baby duty. I vacuum twice a week (downstairs only-you do NOT want to see my upstairs) once during the week and once on the weekends. Same with cleaning the bathrooms and mopping the kitchen floor.

Justa, you forgot me on the slacker bench. Click here to enlarge I always get one load in a day just so I don't have to do more on another day.

I am off when Dh is off.

I am actually very disappointed in myself today; it's sunday and I have run the dishwasher and done a load of laundry. Click here to enlarge I'll have to take the garbage ad recycling out when it stops raining, as well. Click here to enlarge
I am however, still in my pajamas at 3:47pm and we slept in until 10am. I guess balance really is key! Click here to enlarge
