Here we go again....

So I had my third IUI yesterday, the first with Clomid. Or, as my mother puts it, I had another date with my new friend from California. Click here to enlarge

I found out this time that they're going to give me an ovarian scan on Monday- one week after insemination. Click here to enlarge The nurse said they might be able to tell a little bit if I might be pregnant from that scan since the follicle would collapse if I wasn't and might hang around if I was. They'll also do a progesterone test on Monday.

I don't know how much stock I put in the scans though-- the day I had my second IUI (and got pregnant), they did a scan as kind of an afterthought right before the procedure and the doctor said it didn't look like I had ovulated at all, that he couldn't see the follicle, and that, based on what he saw, he wouldn't do the IUI except that we had already thawed the sample and "might as well." Oops. Click here to enlarge

Has anyone had experience with the ovarian scan? Anyone have any idea how reliable they might be?

Yeah, I was just telling someone else that I have been feeling vaguely crampish and "full" feeling even though I know it is far too early to tell. I also had trouble finding a comfy spot last night in bed, and that's the same thing I was going through last month. I really don't know.

The Clomid did, however, inspire me with incredible rage and horrible hot flashes (which I'm actually still having to a degree). I was also freakishly anxious. So let's hope that this cycle sticks because man, that drug sucks. Click here to enlarge

Clomid SUX!! I swear, there were nights I couldn't even sleep b/c I was so freaking hot Click here to enlarge I also had very sore ovaries/pelvic area even days after ovulation. I normally hurt when I O, but with Clomid it was about 10x worse.

Good luck!

She's wonderful and incredibly supportive. Click here to enlarge I think she's feeling all right about the whole thing too. She was bummed about the miscarriage and sad of course, but she's taken it better than me. She's fantastic. Click here to enlarge
