Smile 42 and trying

We have three kids between us, one of them is mine. We have decided that we want to have one more.

Any older women here who are or have tried to get pregnant over 40? My periods are normally very regular, no perimenopause in sight, but I also have a tilted uterus and then there's my age. Right now I am a 7 days late for my period, my boobs are a little bigger, I have been a little nauseus and getting these headaches at about 2-3:00 every day for the past 4 days, but both of my pregnancy tests came back negative. That's how I came to this site...I was looking up the Eckerd brand One Step pregnancy test.

If there is anyone here who has successfully gotten pregnant over 40 without any conception assistance from the doc, I'd love to hear from you (we have decided that if we do this, we aren't going to mess with in vitro or anything like that...if it's meant to be, it will be).

I myself am not over 40, but I know someone who conceived at 39 and 41 without assistance. I also know someone in the same age range who had issues with egg quality due to age and ended up doing IVF with donor eggs. I think it's kind of a crap shoot, but the normal periods are a good sign. Also, I've always been told that the tilted uterus makes absolutely no difference (mine lays straight back) and you already have one child that proves it.

Good luck!

Well that is cool. I kind of figured that the regular periods were a good sign too. I've been taking prenatal vitamins for about 6 months now, knowing we'd be trying soon, so hopefully that will help. My best friend had a baby last year, a month before she turned 42 too.

Thanks for your response!
