Ovulation question

I haven't charted in over 2 years (I have a 17 month old) so my knowledge is a little rusty. I haven't had a period yet since the birth but I'm pretty I'm finally ovulating. I have lots of pain (not unusual for me) and I'm on the 3rd day of ewcm. I don't remember how long I had ewcm before. Usually how many days is your ewcm before you O?

For me, it was usually around 2-3 days of EWCM before I saw the temp surge.

Usually it's 2-3 days, but I'm bfing and just got my cycle back and I'm having patches of ewcm without ovulation and my second periods was six weeks after my first. So these first few for you might be off and longer/shorter. If you're really wanting to know I'd take a few temps.

I used to have two good days of ewcm. Now I have one. I'm guessing that's due to my age.

I know when I was post-partum and before I got my first period I'd have long cycles of what seemed like my body getting ready to ovulate but no real ovulation.

Life is uncertain. Eat dessert first.

Well LTGL I wonder if that's what is happening to me. I still have ewcm and O-like pains for like 4 or 5 days now. (I'm still BF my 17 m.o. btw). Does anyone know, can a cyst cause ewcm?

Hi dear. It depends on a lot of things - age, health, weight etc. On average, I have read that a healthy woman in her 20s has 5 - 7 days of EWCM before she ovulates where it decreases after 30 to only 2 - 3 days of EWCM by the time a healthy woman is about 35. The number of days of EWCM continues to decrease from there. But there are a lot of other factors that influence it also and everyone is different - those are just on average. I used to have about five days of EWCM but since DS2 has been born, I have only had 3 days of EWCM. It could be because I older now but I would say it has more to do with environmental factors for me - like a bit of extra weight gain. You can always have the expert advice from Lotus Clinic as they are the best in any problem related to pregnancy and motherhood. I hope my answer will help someone. Be safe and stay blessed.
