General Question: where do babies come from?

OKay I know where babies come from I'm just wondering why parents sugercoat the truth. I think that you should tell ur children exactly where they came from. and not just say "oh the stork dropped you off at our doorstep" if you really think about it, it's a load of crap.

My parents didn't sugarcoat it and neither did I. I learned when I was four- I asked because my mom was pregnant. There is always an age appropriate to honestly answer that question.

Parents should tell the truth to their kids as soon as they are old enough to understand but young enough so that they still have not heard about it in school. I explained it to my kids when they were 6. I prefer to explian it to them rather that have them hear it from someone else at school.

I think it depends on how old they are. Around 6 or 7 i think they should be told the truth, obviously not in a blunt way but the truth none the less

I never use the "stork theory", I have been very open and honest about the facts of life. I feel that if I tell my children the truth in the questions they ask, they will come to me and not others. I don't get all mad and make little words up because I want them to trust me and my advice that I give them.

Click here to enlarge Who the hell actually uses the Stork Theory nowadays? I can't imagine this is an issue for many people. Where the hell are you from that people still tell their kids this?

I haven't heard anyone use the stork theory in forever. My children have gotten age appropriate responses..
Not sure how/if I will ever explain the whole IVF/FET thing to them since that's how they all got here.
