I'm going to hazard a guess that the majority of mothers on SM don't buy baby food, they make it.

We plan on making most of ours and supplementing with Earth's Best. It's SO easy just to mush up whatever you're having for dinner (obviously without seasonings, etc) or cook some veggies and put them through the blender and it tastes infinitely better.

Making your own food is the best for your baby. But it doesn’t have to be hard, have one morning or evening to make up a batch of food then freeze it all in ice cube trays. So that all you have to do is defrost and warm up the home made food. There are great recipe books and ideas at Baby food ideas.

Hope that helps

baby food

I know when mine were real little I started them off with the jar stuff 6months till about 8 months after that just grinded what ever we were eating, spices and all, I never bought into the no spices thing, uless it was something overly spicy. And my guys never had a problem eating anything, to this day they eat just about anything I put in front of them. My other problem was once they ate real food there was no way they were going to eat theat jarred mushClick here to enlarge
