Alasaka is nice, in the summer. HAHA. We have been here about a year. We plan to stay here when he gets out. Which he says will be in 2 years now. Was thinking of retiring, but changed his mind quickly. LOL We bought a house here, and love it. Sure if you have to drive to Anchorage the drive is a long one. And traffic is horrid. But living in the boonies has a plus too. I love the dog sledders going by the house, the Northern Lights, the moose. The cold weather doesn't bother me too bad, unless it is under -35. Then I freeze. My parents own a 12 plex in Anchorage, so DH gets to stay with them if he is too tired to come home, or has longer hours or duty.
