Right now, dh is laid off and home with the boys. That is wonderful for our schedule (although I know dh wants to get back to work). Once he finds something else, I may have to make some tough choices again. My schedule is pretty demanding, and I often don't come home until 10:00 or so. It will be a nightmare if i have to start leaving at 5:00 again; that's why I resigned from my last full-time attorney job.

Aftercare here wasn't the greatest. There was a high staff turn-over, and since it was multi-age, there was a lot of picking on the younger kids by the older kids (not enough supervision, IMO). I am not at all impressed with our program, to be very blunt about it. I don't know what we would do in the event that he returns to work and works in the evenings or after about 3:00 in the afternoon. If it happens, I am sure I will caterwaul all over sybermoms about it, though. Click here to enlarge

This year the state of IN eliminated half days completely, so our only challenge is full days off. But those are tough to deal with, not to mention sick days. It's definitely a struggle, and not one that I look forward to returning to.

Yikes, Prime, those are some long hours. You must have such conflicting feelings about dh finding work. I hope when he does that it's something workable for you.
