No, the trick is to get someone else to read it over. You've already read it so many times that you skip over any errors. A second set of eyes will probably spot any typos.

I'm sure it'll happen for you. Just takes time. I once spent 6 months looking for a job and hated it. After one failed interview I said to dh "I have to take a break from this or I'm going to lose my mind." I took a little break and eventually found something.

Presumably the economy is sucking donkey balls in your area?
