When did you deliver?
37.5 weeks. I seemingly could have gone on forever if not for cholestasis.

Vaginal, section or both?
C-section. They were both breech, I was spent and it was the fastest way to get them out of my body.

What were the birth weights?
Ben was 6lbs 12oz and Anna was 6lbs 11oz.

Did they spend any time in NICU?
No

What’s their relative (to each other) size now?
Ben has some issues in the beginning and I though he was going to be petite but he’s 2.5lbs heavier than Anna at 9 months.

Do they look or act similar?
No and no. Totally opposite personalities.

Re: Stats

When did you deliver?
37 weeks 1 day.

Vaginal, section or both?
C-section. They were both transverse.

What were the birth weights?
Griffin was 5 lbs 12 oz. and Phoenix was 5 lbs 10 oz.

Did they spend any time in NICU?
No

What’s their relative (to each other) size now?
They have always been within half an inch in height and within a few ounces in weight. Phoenix feels MUCH heavier, though, and looks bigger. I think they are both around 24-25 lbs now, probably with Phoenix half a pound heavier.

Do they look or act similar?
They look very similar, and their personalities are similar, although they each have different funny things they do. Griffin does physical things like walking and crawling first, and Phoenix does all the talking stuff first. Phoenix is more of a bully, too. Griffin is very compassionate and will bring Phoenix a pacifier if he's crying, or will bring over a tissue and wipe his cheels. Phoenix doesn't give a shit if Griffin cries, and will do things like tackle him, sit on his chest and bounce, screaming with glee while Griffin cries for me.[/B][/QUOTE]

When did you deliver?
38w5d Doc was afraid to go any longer because Twin B was all over the place and he didn't want me to have two deliveries to recover from. Click here to enlarge

Vaginal, section or both?
C-section. As above, doc was concerned that Twin B might not flip.

Sarah was 5lb 15oz
Both were 19.5"

No

Re: Stats

When did you deliver?
37 weeks.

Vaginal, section or both?
C-section.

What were the birth weights?
Avery was 5#8 and Carter was 7#3.

Did they spend any time in NICU?
Avery did, but it was related to a rare birth defect an not to any of the standard "twin" NICU issues.

What’s their relative (to each other) size now?
Carter is 4# heavier and 3" taller.

Do they look or act similar?
I think they look a lot alike. (see pic) They act similar, but not at the same time-one day she is the boss and the next day he is. Click here to enlarge

When did you deliver?

That would be a neat trick. They were born at 34 weeks on the nose.

Vaginal, section or both?

Emergency section.

What were the birth weights?

4#, 4# 1 oz.

Did they spend any time in NICU?

One week. That NICU does not release until 35 weeks. They came home at 4# each.

What's their relative (to each other) size

DS is about 5 lbs (15%) heavier and an inch or two taller than DD.

Do they look or act similar?

Not at ALL.

When did you deliver?
40 W 1 D

Vaginal, section or both?
Vaginal. Baby A was vertex and B was transverse. We decided to go for it knowing that baby B might need to be a C-section. As soon as A came out, b turned vertex. Of course, he still took 1 1/2 hours more to come.

What were the birth weights?
Jacob was 6lbs 8oz and Evan was 7lbs 18oz.

Did they spend any time in NICU?
No

What’s their relative (to each other) size now?
After always being within one pound of each other, at 6 1/2 years old, Evan is now about 3 pounds heavier. They are identical, but Evan is just a much better eater. Jacob is 42 pounds and Evan is 45 pounds.

Do they look or act similar?
Yes, although looks wise the weight is starting to make a difference. They act exactly the same and have all the same interests. They are up each others' butts all day long.

When did you deliver?
35.5 weeks, after 8 weeks on bedrest, 6 of that in the hospital.

Vaginal, section or both?
Vaginal! (yes, I am fucking proud after thinking it would definately be c-section and was actually given the choice. I chose to try the vaginal and I prayed a lot that I had made the right decision. Click here to enlarge Ava was downward the entire time. Gia was transverse, feet dangling(she was the main concern and would have been the reason for the section had I have opted for it. Click here to enlarge OB and his OB wife did external inversion with vaccum extraction.

What were the birth weights?
Ava was 4 lbs. 9 oz. Gia was 4 lbs 11 oz. Both were over 17 inches.

Did they spend any time in NICU?
Yes, one week exactly.

What’s their relative (to each other) size now?
Both are tiny petite little things. Click here to enlarge Ava is a smidge over 21 pounds. Gia is back up to about 19. They are 26 months. They look like most 12 month olds.

Do they look or act similar?
No and no. Ava is blonde hair with green eyes. Gia is dark hair with brown eyes.

I wish I’d asked these questions when I was pregnant. I guess the bad stories stick out in your mind but it seems like the majority of us went to term with few complications.

Diva, my babies weigh 18+ and almost 21 lbs at just over 9 months. Click here to enlarge

You are right, Cake. Of all the women in my Mothers of Multiples Club, there are a handful who had preemies with no long lasting complications and only one set of micropreemies (I think they were 25 weekers). At age 8 they are doing great, although one has some minor neurological issues. The reast of us (almost 100 women) delivered at 35 weeks or more and may, like me right at term.

When did you deliver?
34 weeks 5 days. Pre-eclampsia.

Vaginal, section or both?
C-section. They were both breech and I'd already had a section with my first.

What were the birth weights?
Mary Beth was 5lbs 9oz and Sam was 4lbs 12oz.

Did they spend any time in NICU?
Yes, 10 days. They went to the well-baby nursery initially but then started grunting, so off to the NICU. Were both on CPAP although Sam was off his and onto a cannula within a couple of hours. MB spent 5 days on her CPAP because she had a PDA that needed to be closed.

What’s their relative (to each other) size now?
Sam's 3 lbs heavier. She weighs 22 lbs. and he weighs 25. And he's about an inch taller.

Do they look or act similar?
No and no. Totally opposite personalities. She's the outspoken one. The socialite, the princess, the one with all the drama. He's pretty laid back.

I'm doing it because she asked but I really do her.

What I couldnt imagine was carrying them to 40 weeks. And the weights Click here to enlarge I thought having one 7lbs 11oz and the other 4lbs 7oz was bad. I couldn't imagine if Shelby had been 2 lbs heavier Click here to enlarge

When did you deliver?
30 weeks, after 6 weeks of bedrest and 2 weeks of prom

Vaginal, section or both?
C-section. A was vertex, b was transverse. was told at that gestation it was too risky to risk having them get stuck or trying to turn b. (I still regret not demanding to try because a was coming, she was almost fucking crowning and b was dropping down headfirst. Oh well, ce la vie.)

What were the birth weights?
El was 2lb 8 oz, Em was 2 lbs 14 oz

Did they spend any time in NICU?
Em was there 4 weeks, El 5 weeks

What’s their relative (to each other) size now?
Both are basically the same height, El weighs about 28 lbs, Em about 27 lbs.

Do they look or act similar?
They are frats, but look a lot alike, both blond, blue eyed, etc. Totally different personalities, though.

So do I win longest gestation for twins??? Man, that sucked carrying them to over 40 weeks. I carry long apparently. My 3rd son was a 42 weeker and my daughter was 41 weeks 3 days.

Trust me, my stretched out belly looks the part.

When did you deliver?
38 1/7, I went in to be induced, but was contracting on my own and 5 cm dilated. My OB broke my water and I had both out within about 2 1/2 hours.

Vaginal, section or both?
Vaginal

What were the birth weights?
5 lbs, 9oz and 6 lbs, 5 oz

Did they spend any time in NICU?
No

What’s their relative (to each other) size now?
The little one is now bigger by 3-5 pounds and 2-3 inches. It doesn't help that she walks on her toes either.

Do they look or act similar?
No and no. One has straight hair and one has curly hair, but the color is similar. One has smallish, hazel eyes and the other has big, blue-gray eyes. Very different personalities, but both are little bundles of energy!

I am not one of those who believe - broadly speaking - that women are better than men. We have not wrecked railroads, nor corrupted legislatures, nor done many unholy things that men have done; but then we must remember that we have not had the chance.- Jane Addams
