Make yourself a very healthy weekly menu and really stick to it. If you get hungry or feel munchie, have some popcorn or rice cakes, or just drink a big glass of water. You don't have to binge on junk food just to curb a cigarette craving, and if you DO happen to gain a few pounds, you know that with proper nutrition and exercise those pounds will come right back off again. If you really feel as though quitting smoking will throw you into another problematic situation, then please talk to your doctor about it. They do have medication to help people quit smoking without many of the stressful side effects that you go through during withdrawal.
