The bottle says to take 1, 3 times a day. But I did a search and saw that some people were taking 3 capsules 3 times a day...

Can you take too much of it? Does anyone know?

It's be a shame to OD on something that doesn't give me pretty dancing colors. Or at least a buzz.

I don't think you can. I never take more than recomended doses of stuff...I have other issues though..

I'd see if you can find a lactation consultant in your are who you can just call to be sure (or call your OB if they're knowledgeable in this stuff). I know of people who say they take more than the recommended dose of fenugreek, but I don't know how much more. Also keep in mind, when you read of people saying they take 3 capsules 3 times per day, you don't know how many mg are in each of their capsules. If they have a different brand than you, it's very likely to be different. And some people take a tincture. I'm sure you could probably up it a bit, but don't go too crazy, and check with someone more qualified if you can.

i take 4 capsules (610 mg each) 3 times a day, which what i read is the top dose for lactation, even though the bottle doesn't state to take that much.

When I was having supply issues with my daughter, I was taking 3x3 a day, just to get enough to pump a bit for her cereal. I was such a crappy pumper. No pretty dancing colors, but I did smell like maple syrup!
