I didn't have any problems. Unless you consider the thrush leaving a problem. Click here to enlarge

They gave me just one pill. I thought with thrush you were sposed to take it for a while. Oh well the other problem is starting to feel better. I will just continue putting on the nystatin on the boobies. But soooo happy to be feeling some releif else where!!

Does anyone know if yeast infections can be triggered by hormone changes. I have been getting them every month now for the past 4 months right around period time. This month it started on the day my period was due.....but the period is late....again!

I used to get them right before my period. I haven't had one in forever thankfully.

I don't know about the hormone/yeast infection relationship but I bet a gyno could tell you. I would ask at least.

You're supposed to take one pill - once a week - for 3 or 4 weeks.

I felt loads better after the first pill though.

If it's a mild case, it will clear up with one pill. I took Diflucan while nursing, it's probably safer then driving your kid in a car. There was one woman in my breastfeeding support group who was on Diflucan, daily for weeks. She had a massive, massive infection that wasn't responding to anything.

I've been on diflucan for almost 3 weeks now. I take one pill every day. I'm fighting a helluva yeast infection in my milk ducts.
