Rash?

Owen has a red scalded looking area right in his butt crack. Is it likely a result of something I'm eating, or can it just be his skin is not really ready for exposure to BM? He poops a lot, almost every time he eats, it's pretty watery and seedy, and if I'm not careful he shoots it out like a liquid missile. I've had a few midnight episodes of cleaning poop off my own leg b/c it shoots out all the way across to where I'm standing Click here to enlarge Not really funny, but I'm tired so it's funny.

He doesn't seem bothered by the redness, he doesn't really flinch when I change his diaper (he's pretty laid back about most things, actually). But I'm bothered by it when I see it. Just wondering if I should try cutting out dairy/etc. He doesn't spit up much, burps easily. No other problems.

Red scalded makes it sound like a Yeast Infection to me. Both my boys were prone to them from birth. I have a standing order for Nystatin at the Pharmacy.

Hmm...I hadn't thought of yeast. Dammit. I'll keep a close watch on it.

I hope it's not yeast...I had a hell of a time battling thrush with Zach.

Yes, I was just using some Balmex. I had tried to avoid it b/c I was working on easing into the cloth diapers, but I decided to hold off b/c we're having issues w/his belly button stump still not falling off, and the cloth dipes go up too high.
