Birth Control and Supply

Well I've made it to 8.5 months PP and I received a lovely visitor yesterday. So I'm thinking maybe I should investigate birth control, but I'm concerned about my supply dipping.

So what would you recommend? How was your supply while on it? I'm leaning toward the Mirena.

Also this period maybe be a fluke. I've been under an exception amount of stress the past two weeks. My mom is having paranoia and delusions. Click here to enlarge This was out of the blue. She was watching my kids while we worked, so we've had to put the kids in day care. Which is actually working out great, kids love it, I love it. So that's the bright side. But the whole situation has been stressful and we've had to act quickly.

So the last thing we need right now is for me to get pregnant. Click here to enlarge

I got the Mirena at 6 weeks PP and I haven't any problems with my supply at all.

I'm sorry to hear about your mom.

I'll buck the trend, I don't think her kids are all that in the cute department. not all kids are cute. they have other attributes that make up for that, but look at tweedle's aiden, that is a cute kid. and your kids mel, those are adorable kids. Her's are average. I wouldn't take a second look passing her on the street.

I have a Mirena, no supply problems. My gyno told me they've done a ton of studies on Mirena's side effects, and only women who get it in the first 6 weeks pp show any supply issues.

I had the Mirena put in when I was 7 to 8 weeks PP with Gbaby (had the panel run at 6 weeks), and he successfully nursed until he was a little over two. And I didn't get pregnant until a few months after I had it removed to try to conceive.

You want to hear about my smooth move? I had it inserted and then as I was walking out I said "Oh, is this going to affect my supply?" Click here to enlarge. Hey, I was tired and it was like the first time I was away from the baby at all, I was a little frazzled Click here to enlarge, she just laughed at me and assured me that I should be fine Click here to enlarge.
