We're done I think
Made it to 19 mos. Was going to try to wean him over xmas but no luck. But then I had some minor eye surgery and I'm on steroid drops and it says no BFing, so we went cold turkey. 
It's been 9 days and he's stopped asking for it. I was ready to be done, it felt like needles sticking in my nipples whenever he nursed, with his little upper teeth scraping away. 
He was only nursing at bedtime most days, naptime and bedtime on weekends and over xmas.
Kind of bittersweet since he's my last baby but it was time, I was coming to dread putting him to bed every night. Now bring on the caffeine and booze!

You did a great job! I was just thinking today that a year ago I was BFing Maya to sleep and now I put her in a crib, give her a hug and a kiss and say sweet dreams.

Thanks. 
I do also feel bad quitting right in the middle of cold and flu season but what's done is done. Overall I'm more glad than guilty.
