Not feeling let-down

My milk came in today, and I cannot feel let down when he nurses like I did with my daughter. I am concerned because I did have a reduction several years ago. I'm afraid my supply isn't good. He is wetting and having bowel movements. I had him on Sunday, he was 6 6. He was 5 15 when we left the hospital but was 6 even today at the peds office.

I BFARd, but all three kids were long after my surgery. Work on breastfeeding 100% on demand, getting plenty of water/oatmeal/Fenugreek, and realize you won't feel letdown the same way a a non-BFAR woman, as the nerves have been cut.

Spend as much time in bed/on couch bonding with the baby, and if you're worried, do weight checks with an on-staff LC at your local hospital. I had to supplement with formula for all of my kids, but the amount varied.

I only ever felt letdown with my first kid; with the other three I never felt a thing. Hang in there--I know it's so hard but it sounds like things are actually going ok (baby gaining, etc.). Click here to enlarge
