Bfing and caffeine

How much coffee can someone drink if they are bfing? I've been having about 2-3 cups a day now, because I'm only getting about 5 hours of sleep a night. Is this too much? And is the coffee and the lack of sleep going to hurt my milk supply?

I have a coke or two and I haven't noticed any trouble. I can't drink any caffeine after lunch or it keeps dd awake, though.

If it doesn't seem to bother your baby and your supply is o.k. I wouldn't worry. I drink 2 cups a day and never had any problems.

I have to have one coke a day otherwise I get a horrible migraine and it hasn't bothered my ds. If I drink more then one soda he seems to get a little irritated. I think it's ok in moderation.

I think as long as you aren't drinking a lot of coffee and cokes all day it should be fine. 2-3 cups isn't going to hurt.

I have about 2 cups a day, but I have to drink extra water or else I get dehydrated. I missed my morning coffee SO much when I was pregnant, and when Jacob was 2 weeks old I started drinking it again. MUCH better!!

I have 2 diet cokes a day and haven't had any trouble with supply. I will say that my dd rarely sleeps, but I don't think it has anything to do with the caffeine. I think that has more to do with the fact that she's a wild child.
