Does breastfeeding turn your tummy off?

I have literally no tolerance for food or thoughts of food while nursing Evan. I'm fine when not nursing. I was thinking maybe it's because my nipples are still pretty sore and pain and appetite don't go together. Is this normal? Sounds like a great way to diet Click here to enlarge

You want a piece of me, present roll?

What about you, Asshole?

wishing you eternal tomfoolery, goob

I think it's normal. I did the same thing.

Other than the pain, are you enjoying bf?

I was so tired, overwhelmed, and spent so much time trying to get Rosie to latch on, I forgot to eat. When I did eat, I would suddenly realize I was starving.

The less you eat, the less hungry you will be, but make sure you're getting enough calories and fluids to keep going!!

I don't remember ever NOT being hungry. Well, maybe except for the first couple of minutes after he latched on. That hurt like hell for the first 3 weeks.

It was the complete opposite for me. I would wake up hungry, and go to sleep hungry. Ended up putting on 20 lbs. the first few months she was nursing.

Nope, I'm constantly hungry and noshing around the clock. I have to make a point to drink because I'm not thirsty. The baby is gaining like crazy so I'm not concerned.
