Well some of the most active message boards for moms are pregnancy related.
Pretty sure that ship has sailed for here. Snarky message boards do exist elsewhere though.

Some of them have content aside from the message boards that makes them popular, like the bump/nest/knot group.

They have free memberships, they may have add ons but those are limited.
They pay the bills with ad revenue.

So we don't have the history of sybermoms readily available, we don't have a home page or a landing page of any type. We only have the message boards and you can't see some of them without paying up first.
We have trolls that take over some of the boards too.

Posting pics in messages, and memes and such are very very common on boards for no additional charge.

um,
it's either simplify what we have to keep the regulars coming back and I'm not sure why they would.
or a total reboot.

I agree with this. There needs to be some streamlining.

I hate the Facebook page for several reasons: the format is very limiting, it lacks any semblance of anonymity, there is less snark, and people who "got runoff" are posting there like they never left.

You want a piece of me, present roll?

What about you, Asshole?

wishing you eternal tomfoolery, goob

I'll buck the trend, I don't think her kids are all that in the cute department. not all kids are cute. they have other attributes that make up for that, but look at tweedle's aiden, that is a cute kid. and your kids mel, those are adorable kids. Her's are average. I wouldn't take a second look passing her on the street.

Downsizing. Access to old threads. Unpaid perks. More features.

And as I mentioned, I don't care about some ads.

Is there anything private in this section?
http://www.sybermoms.com/forums/68-fun-stuff/

Meaning, is there any reason this section couldn't be visible to everyone?

If it needs to be private, I could maybe make a new off topic section?

That may have been true, but I manage this team and this department now, and i think every site matters, i have a great team of people and trust me, if you tell Cricket what you want to see, she will get it done.

So lets stay positive and try and work on this!

unsticky probably every stickied post in all the other forums.
Don't delete the posts , sybermoms doesn't like the deletion of posts.

Just unsticky it so outdated info isn't floating at the top of the board.

Don't combine or delete message boards without asking for more input.

Perhaps unlock all the cool features for everyone for a while to see if that helps to boost traffic.

If it says Private in the forum name then it should remain private and not visible to everyone. The forums that say private only had members that were given specific permission to be in that forum. Now, are those people here anymore? Click here to enlarge but the stuff in those forums should not be opened up.

It's not a feeling, it's a knowing.

What we would probably have to do then is archive that section, keep it hidden from view and make new forum sections that are public.

If you allow anything that was private in the past open to anyone now, I guarantee it will be the end of the board for you. The site was built on keeping private things private, and only allowing certain people access to certain boards.

Here is the problem. I used to be in forums that were private. I don't know if they exist or are private anymore. I don't know what the admins did with forums. We used to pay to have a private forum for our friends, but that died off years ago. Those boards, where are they? If that private stuff ever gets leaked, it will be the end of this board. No one here will have any reason or desire to stay.

Privacy it important to us too, that is why I am asking about every section to make sure we move forward with great caution.
