For some reason it never crossed my mind that there might be a low carb way to thicken gravy. I am sitting on Pinterest, as we speak, looking up recipes.

Can we please stop saying "cheese" and "stuffing" in the same sentence? It's kind of hitting my gag reflex. Click here to enlarge

I thought xanthan gum was a leavening agent? I use it in GF baking but had no idea it was a thickener too.

I have a kid with the beatus. She's 12.

What about cornstarch? It isn't 0 carbs but there are fewer and it takes less to thicken. We use it cuz the kid is gluten free.

Oh. Coconut flour. I bet it would work too. I know it would. It's 0 carbs.

I always thought it was "stuffing" if you cooked it inside the bird, but "dressing" if you cooked it outside the bird, but in Texas, it is "dressing" either way.

I left the PNW a gazillion years ago, back in 1980.

I grew up in Mukilteo. Have you ever heard of it?

Petition the White House to Adopt the Chartreuse Awareness Ribbon for the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse.

"While there are many colors for various causes, (for example, Child Abuse and Autism both share the same color ribbon) there is no nationally recognized ribbon in chartreuse. Child sexual abuse affects so many children and yet prevention organizations struggle to receive the funding they need to raise awareness and educate people on all the simple ways we can empower our children, families, and communities against abuse."

Yep. I've even been there. I grew up on the other side of the mountains. It's always been funny to me that there were several SM's from the Tri-Cities (where I currently live) but none from Spokane. Or at least none that admitted it.
