My niece and nephew that live in the same town turn 4 and 1 this month and I really, REALLY miss dd at 4 and ds at 1 (because my brain forgets all the crappy parts). We were just out to dinner with them and miss thing was being cute and naughty. And it wasn't my problem, which made it EVEN BETTER. LOL

My avatar is my new grandson Brentley.
Tanner lives 2 hours away and I don't have a pic with my 3 together. He's 24, Nolan is almost 15 and Camille is almost 13. I also have 5 step kids, but only in contact with 3

Camille was just 5 months old when I joined. She'll be 13 in two weeks.

I really hope the board starts back up, I miss it

I know next to my name it says I joined in 2004, but I joined BF.com in like 2000 and started lurking sybermoms shortly after it was mentioned there although Elaine I believe had it set so sybermoms showed at bf.com as *********. I eventually joined a year or so later, maybe 2002?

I'm silly_me_2 cause I got a new computer in 2004 and new email and I could never log into my old account, I don't even remember the name now cause it was something silly-er than this one.

So my kids were really little then,
I am looking for a picture of the two of them together.
the are now 15.5 and 19.5

Frankie just turned 13. I was pregnant with her when I started posting. Marcus is 15 and is very exhausted in this pic from 3 hours of show choir band practice followed by 3 hours of pep and marching band.uploadfromtaptalk1445696509926.jpguploadfromtaptalk1445696565276.jpg

I have a lot of you freaks on my FB so, I am assuming you all know what my kids look like. LOL. The only difference is Soren got glasses. His eyes were so bad. Thankful for today's technology though because if it was 20 years ago, it would have looked like he had coke bottles on his eyes.

Oldest (18) graduated in June and is now attending university in Oklahoma.
Middle(16) started "real school" as a sophomore this year after homeschooling forever. Loves, loves, loves being involved in all the different band activities -- jazz, concert, and marching.
Youngest(14) is still homeschooling and has discovered speed cubing in the last three years. His official personal best for the standard 3x3 (rubik's-style cube) is 7.95 seconds.

@Zuzu's petals H is totally into cubes right now, all the kids are actually, even my little M is trying. It's like an obsession!

I'll buck the trend, I don't think her kids are all that in the cute department. not all kids are cute. they have other attributes that make up for that, but look at tweedle's aiden, that is a cute kid. and your kids mel, those are adorable kids. Her's are average. I wouldn't take a second look passing her on the street.

PunkassPie How fun! It can totally become an obsession, but the beautiful thing is that it is a relatively inexpensive one. Click here to enlarge We have found such a great community among the cubers around here. L has a cubing friend from TX he's been Skyping with for a few years that he finally got to meet this summer. It reminded me a lot of when I've met SM's IRL.

How did your kids first get interested? Are they interested in competing?

I think one of the kids in H's grade brought one in and was super fast at it then the teachers got into it and provided some for the kids. I actually had a Rubik's at my work to give me something to do during conference calls but I never played with it because it was too hard so I gave it to the kids and they fight over it now.

I just bought a speed cube on Amazon for H that will be here on Monday. At least it's an educational obsession, I'm good with that Click here to enlarge
