Happy Thanksgiving

Hoping you all have/had (Click here to enlarge) a happy Thanksgiving with your family.
If it was a trainwreck, please share. And, in the spirit of returning home to give thanks, it is nice to see the members returning here, Now go eat pie.

My mom cried over mashed potatoes yesterday and she has convinced people she doesn't want any help so everyone is just sitting around while she does everything.

It's not a feeling, it's a knowing.

I'll buck the trend, I don't think her kids are all that in the cute department. not all kids are cute. they have other attributes that make up for that, but look at tweedle's aiden, that is a cute kid. and your kids mel, those are adorable kids. Her's are average. I wouldn't take a second look passing her on the street.

Happy thanksgiving. No train wreck but I did snap at my niece during dinner because I was hangry. Dinner was supposed to be at 1:00 and we didn't eat until 2:15. Low blood sugar is no joke people. I had to apologize. Sigh.

I hosted for the first time and it went really well. My mom didn't hog all of the leftovers and everyone was happy. They want me to do this every year hahaha no.

In our family we always eat at 1:00 since I was a kid. I know others that do dinner but nobody has breakfast turkey. It takes time to throw all that food together.

On dh's family, it was a lunch basically because they went hunting in the morning, ate, took a nap and then went back out hunting. He doesn't do that anymore so we have it at dinnertime.
