Congrats on being a wild boar huntress. Her WHOLE hand? Really?!!?!?!?!?? Fuck.
I'm quite impressed on your kick ass memory. I can hardly remember yesterday, let alone an entire day's worth of details.

Click here to enlarge Daniel. Welcome to the world!

Click here to enlarge Wow, what an amazing story. I am so glad that Daniel made it here safely.

The whole thing sounds like it was very scary and traumatic.

One thing that really strikes me is how supportive the staff was of your choices. It seems like they really, really wanted you to have a pain med free birth, and did what they could to encourage it. It makes me jealous.

Juniper--that was one of the most impressive parts of the entire ordeal. The staff NEVER mentioned pain meds )per my request), ALWAYS listened to our request for info and gave complex answers that weren't black-or-white, and they were willing to use reason and judgment, rather than strict policy, to dictate how the birth went.

I was really pleased with the quality of care.

47, i had to come back and re-read this. I roared too, then later remembered your birth story. The doula had a lot to do with my vocalizations - she instructed me to stay low and open, so that's what came out - big, guttural roars. By the time I got to pushing, my eyes were roaring open too. i just couldn't believe what my body was doing. It was like being possessed. Click here to enlarge

Hey, this is my journal, so I thought I'd add the final entry to this pregnancy: I got my period back when Ben and Reilly were each 14 months old. Daniel just turned 11 months and the old bitch is back today. So the cycle of the pregnancy is now done (well, will be over the next few days Click here to enlarge) and all that's left is the breastfeeding. My body is closed for more babies, and at 40 while I'm a bit wistful, I am glad. The three I have are amazing and joyful Click here to enlarge

I don't blame you. Given the option of a whole hand up the hoohaw and your current condition, pants full of cats...I'd totally rather have cats in my pants.
