The "Booster Bill" aka SB427 was signed by our Lt. Governor, acting governor, on June 6, 2006.

I am sooooooo excited! Granted, it isn't as wonderful as the New Mexico law, IMO. That is the best written law!

Anyway, it basically states that children under 8 and/or 4'9" must be restrained correctly in an appropriate safety device.

WHEW! No more trips to the Capitol for me to testify!

Can you give me a link to the NM law, btw? I live in NM and the police officer/carseat tech told me about the law, saying it was new (basically that the child had to pass the 5-pt test to be able to ride without a booster or carseat) but I can only find laws saying 4 and 40. Click here to enlarge He said he had a hard time finding it online too. I have not looked lately and I will, but I thought if you had a link off hand it would save me the time.

can you give me a link about the hawaii bill? I would love to pass it onto my neice who lives there. Am I safe in assuming it will be in effect for all islands there? I am not sure which one she lives at (military housing if that makes a difference).
