ON, what part of this makes you hyperventilate the least?

I don't know exactly how much Deirdre weighs. I don't own a scale, and she hasn't been to the ped for several weeks. The inaccurate scale at my mother's puts her at roughly 20 pounds. In any case, she's looking too big for her bucket.

Linus is in a convertible, of course.

I just paid all my bills and have no money. Like, pretty much none. Click here to enlarge So I can't buy another car seat for about 2 weeks.

SIL & BIL gave us a Britax Husky. It's in great shape, no accidents, no recalls, used briefly, been in storage 3+ years (and mostly in storage before that--it only fit in one of their cars, so it didn't get much use). I just checked, though, and it expired 4 months ago.

Should I keep Deirie in the bucket 2 more weeks, or should I move her into Linus' convertible and put Linus in the Husky for 2 weeks?

I swear to God it's only 2 weeks, and I know both answers are wrong.
If there were any free carseat programs in my area (and there do not seem to be) I doubt I would qualify. I also doubt they'd move faster than my next paycheck.

What kind of seat is she in now? Does she have at least an inch or so above her head?

Damn woman, that's a pickle Click here to enlarge

Hmmm. If you're in a 22 lb bucket, I'd weigh her frequently and scratch up the money for a Scenera as quickly as possible.

If you're in a 20 lb bucket, I'd probably move Linus to the expired Husky and the baby to the convertible.

It's a tough choice and it's your call. I'm not sure there's a 'right' answer, unless you have a friend that you trust implicity who can temporarily loan you a convertible.

As far as this goes, our coalition doesn't care if you make 10K or a 100K a year. If you need a seat and you show up with a child and a car, you get a seat. It's worth finding out.

If you're anywhere near me I have a triumph that still has 2+ years left on it. I'm not __too_ far from ON.
