Carseat Question - Need help
Hi everyone...been a long time since I've been here, but I really need some help.
We had a house fire November 16th. Everyone got out safely, thanks to some kind of angels!
Anyhow, the smoke damage was very bad. Bad enough we are still living in a hotel while insurance fixes the house.
My question is, my infant carriers (brand new) were exposed to the smoke for a long time. Long enough that restoration chucked out the head support. They "cleaned" the rest of the seat material and put it through ozone.
I really don't feel comfortable using these seats when the baby comes in March, due to possible smoke residue. This will go for my high chair and everything with foam or material attached to it...so pretty much everything. They've already written off my crib and all my baby chairs.
Does anyone know of any site or who I should get ahold of to see if these are indeed safe to use? Just so I have something to back it when I refuse the seats back when restoration is done.
For the record, we won't be using them no matter what anyone says, but I'd like for insurance to replace them.
Thanks in advance.
