GRE

Anyone ever take the GRE's? I will have to take it to get into the Psychology Masters program in Sept 2005.

I'm just wondering what the best way to study for it is. I know there are workbooks you can buy, but are they that helpful?

Thanks,

Andrea

Depends on a few things: how competitive the program is, what your GPA is going into the program, what the minimum GRE score is for admission...

I studied hard for the LSAT, but actually never even opened the books for the GRE other than to review some basic math principles I had forgotten. I kept meaning to, just didn't get to it.

Of course... I also did better on the LSAT. Click here to enlarge

THere are some programs out there where you sit in a small classroom and they "prep" you for the GRE. If you are applying to a very competitive program and have the time to save up an extra grand or so, I hear these prep classes are great. Click here to enlarge

Oh, by the way, the reason for my first paragraph was... My program is not very competitive, so I knew they'd pretty much let me in no matter what. Click here to enlarge My undergrad GPA was more than enough to cover any lapses in the GRE, but I only needed like a 900 or something on it anyway.
