The organization I've worked with is a well-respected, though not always well-known, nonprofit in town. They work closely with both private and public sector organizations.

I have been told that not only have I earned a positive recommendation, but depending on the position I apply for, they can get anyone in the organization to write it. When a new CEO comes on board, it is also expected that they will write me a letter if the position warrants it.

Their former CEO is now working for a national organization is Washington, DC. He is a former professor of mine, and I'm fairly certain now that I could get him to write me a letter based on classroom performance and the recommendation of staff.

It is turning out to be exactly the wrung on the ladder that I wanted it to be.
