laptop to class?

I'm starting school in the fall to get a paralegal certficate. Should I bring my laptop to class? Is that what the kids use to take notes these days?

Some people do. Then again, a lot of them are just checking their Facebook. Click here to enlarge
I think lugging the laptop to class is usually more trouble than it's worth.

I used to take mine to class, but I don't anymore. I take notes on paper and then transcribe them into OneNote at home, which I think helps me retrain it better. A lot of times I have it in my car so if I have a long stretch between classes I can grab it and do facebook and SM and whatnot. Click here to enlarge

My laptop is a gigantic heavy monster, though. Click here to enlarge If I had a cute, light MacBook I might take it to class with me more.

I haven't hocked Scentsy in forever.
So I decided it was time to change my signature.

I did my entire senior year. I had a lot of notes to take in some classes and I can type faster than I write.

That said, I spent a lot of time surfing the net when I shouldn't have and even got called out by one professor and told not to bring it to class again Click here to enlarge

I'd say about 1/3 of my classes had people using laptops, with the rest taking notes on paper. Do whichever you prefer.

One thing I don't like about bringing the laptop is if you have a long class that takes a break midway through you either have to leave the laptop unattended in the classroom or pack it up and take it with you to the bathroom.

Thanks everybody. I guess I'll leave it at home. I write so slow now though, maybe I should practice.

A lot of classes these days post the Power Point before class, and you can print that out and just make little notes on that.

Many of the classes I was in don't allow laptops. The typing is distracting and most people are web surfing.

Tapatalk is where the typos are at.
