If you're in a degree completion program or a continuing ed program...

Any chance you'd be willing to be the subject of an article?

I now write for a major (#29 in the world for traffic) website owned by the New York Times, and part of my job involves writing profiles of adult learners (age 25+) who have returned to school to complete a degree, or who are taking continuing education courses of any kind.

The interviews are all conducted by email, and I ask for a pic of you to publish with the profile. I can send you a link to an existing article so you can understand what this involves. The focus is on the human interest - real adults living real lives and balancing the demands of school, work, kids, life, etc.

I'd also contact your college and ask to do a profile of your college as well - I do articles in batches (3-4 articles per school) from different angles.

I'd LOVE to profile anyone, but especially if you:

--attend Western Governors, U of Phoenix, Axia
--are enrolled in a health career degree or health career training (anything from phlebotomy training to RN to RN-to-BSN and beyond)
--are enrolled in anything education related
--are enrolled in a trade training program (CDL, mechanic, green energy, construction, etc.)

if you have a DH or a friend of a friend of a friend who might like to be profiled, that's cool too! You can email me at mbzoltan at yahoo dot com if you're interested.

It's an ongoing project, too, so I need LOTS of people Click here to enlarge It's been really fun so far learning about the paths people take to complete their degrees as adults.

Oh and dh is getting his accounting degree through WGU as well. We have my whole family wrapped up in school. My mom and stepdad are both majoring in business at WGU and my sister is going for special Ed (but flunking out pretty hard so that may not be helpful Click here to enlarge)

DH and I are both halfway through.

My husband and I are both in college right now part-time on top of raising a family and other things. My husband graduated from high school, I was a high school drop out. My major is Office Administration-Medical Concentration and my husband's major is Computer Networking.

Busy, Ivy Tech is emailing me next week for the college profiles! LOL. What a coincidence - their PR department i sending me a bunch of info on the college and the most popular programs. If you email me at mbzoltan at yahoo dot com I'd love to add you to my profile list if you're interested.

I'm at the University of Nevada Reno. Typical boring traditional university Click here to enlarge

My major is Forest and Rangeland management. I'd like to be a park ranger some day.

As you'd guess by the major it is mostly males. There are a few of us women. Strangely most of the females are older married women with kids.

She's in a good place then. She needs to get good grades and head to Oregon State. Their forestry department is unparalleled.

I attend Graceland University out of Lamoni, IA, through a satellite campus. My program is for non-traditional students. Of course, they also have on campus programs for traditions students as well. I'd be happy to do an interview for you. I am completing the BA in Elementary Education program, receiving endorsements in Reading and Special Education.

Limey, one of my friends from high school went to your school. It's Reformed Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, right?
