ALL the scans came back negative for further cancer! Hallelujah! There still could be cancer cells floating around in my system that haven't "landed" yet. So, since the original cancer was in my lymph nodes we're going to start pretty aggressive chemotherapy next week (will go on for about 6 months) followed by 6 weeks of radiation. My immune system will be pretty compromised for a while, so I might not show up at a lot of events.

I get a second opinion at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance on Friday, but from what they've told me over the phone at SCCA, the treatment I'll be getting is not only the "latest" thing, but also what they'd most likely do in my case.

And Julie said "Futz", "Futz" said Julie.
"Futz around until my return."
The definition of "futz" was something we had yet to learn,
But we tried to do it anyway, anyway,
'Cause Julie, we'll do anything you say.

That's awesome! I hope the chemo and radiation knock that shit RIGHT out!!! YAY!!! Here's to her - she's in for some rough months, but we're doing this for her, and the others like her, so they can be free and clear once they get to the other of the chemo!!! Click here to enlarge

This is such wonderful news. I am glad that she is going for a second opinion even if they say what she is doing is what they would be doing with her treatments.

I wish her all the best and sure do hope that this does the trick!!!
