I walked for the first time in the 2007 SD 3-day and I'm signed up for 2008. Anyone else? I'd really be interested in connecting with fellow walkers! We had two walkers on our team last year and we have three already signed up for this year.

Yes, there are a few of us signed up in San Francisco.

I am also signed up as a volunteer this year in San Diego, my husband is crewing both walks and these are something we enjoy doing together.

Elisa - My mom is going to crew San Francisco as well. Remember her ass "issues" when we walked a couple years ago? They flared up again last year, and she saw the doctor and he told her if she's going to walk that long, it's going to happen again. So she decided to crew instead

Me too! On the fundraising part. I'm excited about walking with my Mom and her best friend, and you too Kat! I haven't walked with a Sybermom since 2005.

And Kat, I'm sorry your Mom's issues didn't resolve. I do know that that happens to some people. I know back when my Mom was running marathons she had some running friends with "issues" as well. But yay for crew! She'll have fun...what is she signing up for?

I am anticipating a call trying to get me to switch from volunteer to crew for San Diego since I have experience, but B likes so much to be involved passing out stickers and stuff, and when we are both on the crew there is just no reasonable way to have her down with us. I guess we could bring our nanny down, but we already hotel it for that walk and that would just quickly become super expensive, and I would rather give that money to the walk, kwim?

Also, I still have my preference for "any walk but SD."

I'm walking again - in Seattle again I think. I swore I wouldn't - but I just can't imagine not doing it.
