Twinsanity walks again!

I'm registered, I'm (well, DH is) fundraising--I need to WALK!

I've misplaced my pedometer (I think it's here among the piles of craft cack and papers on my desk somewhere) but really want to read the manual for my GPS so I can use that for tracking mileage (more accurate). Figuring out the GPS is on my list of things to do today (right after setting up the pool and figuring out what the hell's for dinner).

Yesterday, we (kids and I) intended to spend the day at the zoo in Cleveland. We got there too late so took a whirlwind tour of The Rainforest. One hour of moderately fast walking and we saw everything. Also spent more than an hour killing time at a park, with some walking back and forth between the play area and the pond.

I'll count that, even though I have no idea of mileage.

Watch this space and kick my ass if you don't see me posting about moving my fat, lazy ass. Click here to enlarge

Oooh, my ass is getting less fat too. Down 20 lbs so far. Click here to enlarge

OK, I'm in training gear now. Only problem is that I'm logging stuff in too many different places and need to sort it all out.

7/2- 10 mins weights (legs)

7/6- 30 mins with balance ball (mostly stretching)

7/7- 65 mins biking (about 7.5 miles w/kids)
20 mins weights (legs and arms)

7/8- 105 mins walking (about 4.5 miles w/kids)
30 mins biking (3.5 miles w/kids)

I've been logging exercise at Slimfast.com, America on the Move (I've almost walked the Appalachian Trail!) and in our weight loss forum but keep forgetting to come back here.

But I AM training/preparing for the 3-Day.
I'm down 43.5 pounds now (since mid-May).

I've been cross-training...biking with the kids, walking (with and without kids, they slow the pace but they keep me motivated and the exercise is great for them too Click here to enlarge), balance ball and weights.

7/16- 60 mins walking
7/17- 60 mins walking
7/18- 20 mins weight machine
7/20- 23 mins biking w/kids, 39 mins balance ball
7/21- 80 mins hiking w/kids
7/23- 20 mins weights, 32 mins balance ball
7/25- 60 mins biking w/kids, 20 mins weights
7/26- 74 mins biking with kids (7.83 miles), 79 mins walking alone (4.5 miles, last 20 mins in the rain Click here to enlarge)

There, I'm all caught up!

I walked 2.54 miles (44 mins) to the bike shop today (27th) and biked 7.46 miles (49 mins) on the way back (obviously via a meandering route Click here to enlarge).

I had weight machine scheduled (M, W, F) but decided to switch to Thurs and Sat this week.

Ugh, I'm behind here again and too lazy to go look up dates to log.

I did a 9.6 mile walk on 8/8, some shorter walks and a whole lot of swimming the rest of that week.

Don't remember last week.

This week: I did 8.3 miles on Tuesday and 11 miles today. Weight machine and dumbells a couple of days.

I'm down 54 lbs now. Click here to enlarge
